Count Bro Privacy Policy

Count Bro is designed as a local-first workout tracking app. This policy explains what information the app stores, what may be processed by optional services in some app versions, and the choices you have.

Effective date: June 12, 2026

Local-first by design

Your workouts, plans, exercise targets, profile name, and preferences are stored on your device.

Version-aware disclosures

The current app is local-first. Later versions may add accounts, sync, analytics, ads, purchases, and notifications.

You control deletion

You can delete your local app data from inside the app or by removing the app from your device.

1. Who We Are and Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Count Bro, a mobile workout tracking application operated by Hleb Shautsou ("Count Bro," "we," "us," or "our"). It covers information handled by the Count Bro app and support communications with us.

App stores, device operating systems, email providers, and other services you choose to use with your device may process information under their own privacy policies.

2. Information Count Bro Handles

Depending on how you use the app, Count Bro may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Profile information you enter, such as your display name and unit preferences.
  • Workout plans, exercise selections, set targets, repetitions, weights, sides or limb-tracking choices, and completion history.
  • Workout session dates and times, completed sets, and summary information.
  • App preferences, such as language, weight unit, theme-related choices, and health-disclaimer acknowledgements.

Count Bro does not require an account in the current app version and does not ask for email address, location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or precise device identifiers. If your app version includes an account or cloud sync feature, we may process the account information and synced workout data needed to provide that feature.

3. Local Storage and Device Backups

The current app stores workout and preference data on your device using local app storage, including a local SQLite database and device preference storage. We do not operate a Count Bro cloud account, cloud sync service, or remote workout database for the current app version. If a later app version offers cloud sync, synced data may be transmitted to and stored by our cloud service providers so you can access it across devices.

Your device or operating system may include app data in device backups if you enable those backup features. Backup handling is controlled by your device settings and the policies of your operating system or backup provider.

4. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message contents, screenshots, device model, operating system version, app version, and details about the issue. We use this information to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, improve the app, and maintain support records.

Please avoid sending sensitive health, financial, or identity information in support messages unless it is necessary for your request.

5. How We Use Information

Count Bro uses information handled by the app to:

  • Provide workout planning, workout tracking, history, preferences, and app settings.
  • Keep your app experience available on your device without requiring an account.
  • Respond to support requests and diagnose reported problems.
  • Maintain safety-related acknowledgements, such as health-disclaimer confirmations.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights when necessary.

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. The current app does not share your workout data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or social networks.

Information may be processed by third parties in these limited situations:

  • If you email support, your message is processed by email service providers used by you and us.
  • App stores and operating systems may process download, purchase, crash, diagnostic, or device data under their own policies.
  • If your app version includes accounts or cloud sync, service providers may process account, authentication, hosting, database, and security data.
  • If your app version includes subscriptions or in-app purchases, Apple, Google, or other payment providers may process purchase, subscription, refund, and billing status data.
  • If your app version includes ads, advertising partners may process ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and consent-related data as disclosed in that version's app store privacy details.
  • If required by law, legal process, safety needs, or to protect our rights, we may disclose information we have access to.

7. Ads, Analytics, Tracking, and Permissions

The current version of Count Bro does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking SDKs, or push notification features. The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library permissions in its current version.

Later releases may include store analytics or crash reports, subscriptions, in-app purchases, cloud sync, accounts, ads, and push notifications. If your app version includes these features, we or our service providers may process information needed to operate, secure, measure, bill for, personalize, or improve those features. We will update this policy and required app store privacy disclosures before releasing material changes.

8. Your Choices and Controls

  • You can choose what profile, workout, set, repetition, and weight information you enter.
  • You can delete local app data using available in-app deletion features.
  • You can remove local app data by uninstalling the app, subject to your device backup settings.
  • If your app version includes an account, you can contact us to request account deletion and deletion of cloud data we control.
  • If your app version includes push notifications, you can disable notifications in your device settings.
  • If your app version includes personalized ads or tracking, you can use available in-app, device, or app store controls where required.
  • You can contact us to request deletion of support emails or other support records we control.
  • You can manage device backups, app permissions, and store-related privacy settings through your device or app store account.

9. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the in-app profile and related data, uninstall the app, reset the device, or remove it through operating-system tools. If your app version includes accounts or cloud sync, cloud data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements, unless you request deletion and retention is no longer required. Support communications are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, business records, security, and legal purposes.

10. Security

We use a local-first design to limit routine transmission of workout data. No method of storage or communication is completely secure, so you should protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock and avoid sending sensitive information by email unless needed.

11. Health and Fitness Information

Count Bro helps you record workout information that may relate to your fitness activity. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition or injury. Review the full Health and Safety Disclaimer for more information.

12. Children's Privacy

Count Bro is not directed to anyone under 16, and people under 16 should not use the app or provide information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a data protection authority. Because the current app stores workout data locally on your device, many requests can be completed directly in the app or through your device settings.

For information we control outside the app, such as support communications, contact us using the email address below.

14. International Processing

If you contact us, your support message may be processed in the country where you, we, or our email providers operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice as required by applicable law or app store requirements.
